This 4-hour online course is a review of Regulations regarding Medical Services, Sanitation, Noise, Radiation, Gases, and Illumination as posted under Subpart D, Part 1926, from OSHAÆs Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. This course covers rules for such topics as minimum illumination intensities, employee medical services, first-aid kits, ionizing and nonionizing radiation, warning signs, threshold limit values of airborne contaminants.
There is a test included at the end of this course.
At the conclusion of this course, you will: - Know the requirements for employee medical services and illumination intensities.
- Understand how to ensure employee safety in regards to sanitation, noise levels, radiation, and gas exposure.
- Be well versed in the rules, regulations, and standards established by OSHA on medical services, sanitiation, noise, radiation, gases, and illumination.
The Williams û Steiger Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 requires, in part, that every employer covered under the Act furnish to his employees employment and a place of employment which is free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees. This course is part of a series which provides a cursory review of the OSHA Standards concerning a general interpretation, safety & health provisions including the Occupational Health & Environmental Controls. This course covers Section 1926.60 and Appendices A, B, C, D, and E of Subpart D of CFR 29. The Safety and Health Regulations for Construction comprise Section 1926.
